What this covers

The mobile apps we publish, including Atom (job management for trade and facilities firms) and any related engineer or office apps on Google Play or the App Store. The website privacy page is at saphiresolutions.co.uk/privacy.

What we collect

When you sign in, we hold the account your company set up: name, email, role and the company you work for.

When you use the app for work we hold the job information you enter or that your office sends to the device: job notes, photos, signatures, times, addresses and similar records needed to complete and invoice the work.

If location is switched on, we may use it to help with job routing or to show where an engineer is for a live job. You can turn location off in the phone settings. The app still works for other tasks.

The device may send a push-notification token so we can send job alerts. We may also see device type, app version and crash logs so we can fix faults.

We do not use the app for advertising, and we do not sell this information.

Why we hold it

To provide the job-management service your company has contracted, to keep jobs moving, to invoice, and to support the app. That is a contract with your employer or with Saphire. Crash and version data is our legitimate interest in keeping the app working.

Data is stored on systems we host in the UK, or with suppliers we need to run the service (for example cloud hosting). They only get what they need for that job.

Children

These apps are for business users. They are not aimed at children.

How long

Account and job records stay for the life of the contract and for as long as the law requires after that (accounts and tax, in particular). You can ask your office or Saphire to close an account when someone leaves.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no reason to keep it. Email info@saphiresolutions.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

If the app was issued by your employer, they may be the controller of some job records. We will point you to them if that is the case.
